SUPERCHARGED 6.2L HIGH-OUTPUT HEMI® V8 ENGINE
The Supercharged High-Output HEMI® V8 engine, available on the Challenger SRT® Hellcat Redeye it produces an impressive 797 horsepower, the highest of any production car, making it the epitome of muscle.
Enough power to drive anyone mad, the supercharged 6.2L HEMI® V8 engine comes standard on the Dodge Challenger SRT® Hellcat. With 717 horsepower and 656 pound-feet of torque, the competition doesn’t stand a chance.
The bold and brazen 392 HEMI® V8 engine delivers 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque. Standard on the Challenger R/T Scat Pack.
Where efficiency meets performance, the 5.7L HEMI® V8 engine delivers up to 375 horsepower and includes fuel saver MDS technology to switch from eight cylinders to four when you want to save on fuel consumption. Standard on the Challenger R/T.

SRT POWER CHILLER®
This award-winning feature diverts air-conditioning refrigerant from the interior cabin to the chiller unit. After being cooled by ambient air passing through a low-temperature radiator at the front of the vehicle, charged air coolant flows through the SRT Power Chiller® unit, where it's cooled even further. The chilled coolant then flows to the heat exchangers in the supercharger, lowering the temperature of the intake air even more. This feature significantly reduces air intake temperature to improve engine performance. It is standard on the Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye.
Line lock engages the front brakes to hold the Challenger stationary but leaves the rear wheels free for a burnout to heat up and clean the rear tires to improve launch. This system can engage for up to 200 rear wheel revolutions for a controlled rolling burnout to get your tires race ready.
Launch assist resolves the issue of wheel hop, with wheel speed sensors watching for signs that the tires are slipping or sticking. If hop is detected, the engine control module reduces torque to maximize traction without having to lift the throttle, reducing loads in the driveline from wheel hop by up to 20 percent.
Launch control holds the engine at the optimal launch RPM and waits for you to release the brake, using engine torque management to optimize wheel slip for maximum straight-line acceleration.
When the engine shuts down, Race Cooldown keeps the engine’s cooling fan and low-temperature coolant pump running to lower the supercharger air cooler temperature, which can be tracked on the SRT® Performance Pages to determine when the supercharger is at its optimum temperature for another run.
